2013

Tuttle was named the SCAC Athlete-of-the-Meet at the SCAC Championships after winning the 110 hurdles, 400 hurdles and triple jump. He posted season best times in all but one event at the meet and earned All-SCAC honors in the 100 hurdles (14.97), 400 hurdles (4:23.87), triple jump (13.16 meters), 4x100 (43.59) and 4x400 (3:23.87). 

2012 (First season)

Tuttle was a force in his first season for the Pirate track & field team. He broke the 16 year old SU record in the 400 Hurdles running a 55.83 at the SCAC Championships, placing second. He finished first in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 15.46, earlier in the season Daniel broke the SU record in the 110 Hurdles at the Tiger Relays running a 14.95. He finished 3rd in the Triple Jump at the SCAC Championships with a jump of 12.89m. Daniel was also a member of the 4x400 relay team that finished 3rd at the SCAC Championships. Tuttle was named the SCAC Track Athlete-of-the-Week on April 1st.

Prior to Southwestern

Tuttle transferred to Southwestern University after competing one season at Texas State University. 

High School

Tuttle earned three letters in track & field for the Eagles. He had the highest season point total in 2009 and 2010, setting a new record in 2010. He also earned the Fighting Heart award and was a runner-up at the Texas Relays in the distance medley relay that same season. He was a part of the two-time 16-5A District Championship team and was a six-time Region 2-5A Qualifier 2009-2010. Tuttle also qualified for the Junior Olympics, competing in the 110m hurdles in 2010, finishing in 22nd.

Personal

Daniel is the son of  Melissa and David and has two siblings, Chris and Pepper. He is majoring in education with a minor in history at Southwestern.
